How To Use The SmoredBoard In Other Applications
This guide explains how to configure SmoredBoard for use with games and other software.
Audio Routing Basics
The SmoredBoard is a straightforward audio routing tool with two primary functions:
- 1. Plays audio files through 2-3 audio devices
- 2. Copies microphone input and applies it to one audio device (typically CABLE Input)
Important: The SmoredBoard doesn't communicate directly with games or software — it operates independently in the audio chain. Once audio reaches CABLE Input, responsibility transfers to you to ensure proper routing within your chosen application.
Implementation Steps
To use the SmoredBoard in other applications:
- 1. Configure your microphone setting to CABLE Output within your game or software
- 2. Ensure the SmoredBoard's Virtual Mic is set to CABLE Input
- 3. Done! Once these settings align, audio will route correctly to other users
Troubleshooting
If audio doesn't transmit properly despite correct configuration, check out our Audio Not Working guide for diagnosing issues within the audio chain.
