This means the SmoredBoard tried to play audio through one of your selected output devices, but that device is already being used by another program in a way that prevents us from using it at the same time.
Common Causes
- - Another application (OBS, Voicemeeter, Discord, etc.) has exclusive control of the device
- - The virtual audio cable is already in use and doesn't support multiple simultaneous sessions
- - The output device is locked due to driver or system settings
Recommended Solutions
- 1. Close other applications using the same device
- 2. Restart your computer to free up the device
- 3. Disable exclusive control in the Sound Control Panel:
- - Press Win + R, type mmsys.cpl, and press Enter
- - Go to the Playback tab
- - Right-click the output device and select Properties
- - Open the Advanced tab
- - Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" and click OK
