How to Fix Hear Self Ringing
Learn why enabling Hear Self can cause feedback or a high-pitched noise, and how to fix audio looping.
What Causes Hear Self Ringing?
If when you enable Hear Self and start to hear feedback or a high-pitched noise, that means it is an audio looping issue.
This can be caused by a physical mic loop, for example, using your laptop's speakers and mic, but it can also be caused by using the headphones device as CABLE Input and the mic device as CABLE Output, which would also duplicate this.
Basically, any pair of mic and headphones that could loop into each other can cause this issue.
Solution
To fix this, go to the audio settings and switch the input or output device, so they no longer loop into each other.
